WHO WE ARE
Youth Initiative Vancouver (YIV) is a non-profit organization under the Academy of Modern Art (AOMA) registered by the government of British-Columbia, Canada, committed to fostering multicultural exchanges and promoting international education.
As a co-organizer of renowned art competitions since 2015, YIV also aims to inspire children and young people to express creativity through visual art and design. Philanthropic action is interwoven within our mission, with YIV having hosted fundraisers to support polio eradication and children's education.

WHAT WE DO
Our Programs and Initiatives
YIV strives to create positive societal impacts while honing leadership, management, communication, and teamwork among a plethora of essential skills in the 21st century. YIV’s programs range from our Peer Tutoring programs and Teaching Assistant (TA) programs—which provides peer-to-peer education and connection—to promoting artistic expression through the Canada Youth Visual Art Contest (CYVAC), an annually organized art contest with a charity auction and fundraiser.
