ACADEMY OF MODERN ART (AOMA)

The Academy of Modern Art (AOMA) is a Vancouver based art education institution dedicated to inspiring, guiding and educating talented art students and transitioning them to their post-secondary school of choice.  As YIV’s parent organization, AOMA shares aligned values with YIV.  This partnership promotes activities including  a peer tutoring program, philanthropic community endeavors, co-hosting renowned art competitions for the past 6 years, promoting creativity, multicultural awareness and education.  YIV’s elected executive gives students a chance to develop leadership skills and all students are encouraged to forge solutions for world challenges and help youth to reach their full potential. We are grateful for AOMA’s  support for our ongoing initiatives.

UNICEF CANADA

In 1953, UNICEF became a permanent part of the UN family of organizations, broadening its mandate to address the long-term needs of children around the world. UNICEF is the world’s farthest-reaching humanitarian organization for children. Across 190 countries and territories, and in the world’s toughest places, they work day in and day out to help children survive. To defend their rights. To keep them protected, healthy and educated. BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

BC Children's Hospital (BC Children's) provides expert health care, including mental health care, for the most seriously ill or injured children from across British Columbia. In addition to providing specialized pediatric services — many of which are not available elsewhere in the province — they are BC's leading teaching and research facility for child health. They aim to cultivate result-oriented impact through respect, compassion, innovation, partnerships, and purpose.

Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives; they are a nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity around the world. In developing countries, it focuses on improving people's health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. In the United States, it seeks to ensure that all people—especially those with the fewest resources—have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. Based in Seattle, Washington, the foundation is led by CEO Mark Suzman, under the direction of co-chairs Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates and the board of trustees.

VGH+UBC Hospital Foundation

VGH UBC Hospital Foundation partners with donors to provide the funds essential to ensuring that our hospitals and health care can deliver BC’s best, most specialized care for adults. They raise funds for VGH, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute and Vancouver Community Health Services.
